ReVibrant Trio with Yellowbiz Art Collective (WHAT DO YOU SEE OR NOT)

The “𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙢” festival continues: dance, culture, and the Mediterranean arrive at the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula.

On Friday, August 1st and Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, the evening events dedicated to contemporary dance return. Organized as part of the international festival “𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙢,” these performances will enliven the majestic spaces of the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula.

𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝘿𝙊 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙎𝙀𝙀, 𝙊𝙍 𝙉𝙊𝙏 questions our tendency to believe we’ve understood what we see.

Through three chapters, the performance explores the fragility of certainty in the absence of external validation, the blurred line between victim and perpetrator, and the ambiguities of identity and judgment.

The choreography, supported by live music, blends contemporary movement with theatrical elements, offering space for open interpretation, free from scenographic constraints.

"Noches de Espana" (Albeniz/Granados/de Falla)

About the Program

This evening’s concert offers a vivid journey through the musical landscapes of Spain, showcasing iconic works by Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, and Enrique Granados. Carefully arranged by Pedro Rosenthal Campuzano for an original sextet of flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano, the program presents faithful and idiomatic reimaginings of some of Spain’s most beloved compositions.

These works are rooted in the Spanish nationalist movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries — a period when composers sought to reflect the soul of Spain through regional dances, folk melodies, and richly evocative atmospheres. The pieces selected tonight explore that diversity through sound: from Andalusian flamenco and gypsy mysticism to impressionistic gardens and vigorous jota rhythms.

ARTissue: Lineage

ARTissue: Lineage questions the connection between the personal/intimate and the communal/universal, exploring the boundaries between street-club dance styles and contemporary dance and how they mutually influence each other. The focus is on dance that intertwines various forms and styles. Where do styles begin and end? Are we moulding them into new forms by abandoning their original character?
The work process begins with an intimate question as a focal point: How can we express something that concerns us all? Can the personal become universal, or is it inherently universal by its very nature?
Choreography: Kristina Paunovski
Performers: Katarina Barešić / Tea Milanović, Panagiotis Demoirakos, Irina Šincek, Kofi Yiadom
Music: ReVibrant – Osman Eyublu (violin and electronics), Pedro Rosenthal Campuzano (percussions and electronics), Golnar Mohajeri (cello)
Light design: Dalibor Fugošić
Costumes: Nataša Mihaljčišin

The performance is a co-production by Croatian Culture Centre Sušak (Rijeka, Croatia) and DAN.C.CE Unitiva (Athens, Greece) within Moving Balkans Dance Platform supported by the European Union.
